Final round of the Inter school Radio Quiz Program “Jala Isurai-Pena Mihiri” was held gleefully at the hotel premises of Sannasa in Dambulla on 4th November 2022. The objective of the Radio quiz series was a making aware the school communities in the project areas on MWSIP and its’ development. Out of 64 schools in the series, the championship was won by the Nugagolla Maha Vidyalaya in Willgamuwa division. Medabedda Maha Vidiyalaya won the runners up award after facing the challenging quiz rounds. Ms. Padmini Ranaweera, deputy chairman of the National Education Commission participated for the program as a chief guest. Principals, school teachers and students were participated the event representing the qualified schools for final round. Eng. Asoka Perera, Project Director of NWPCP, Eng. Indika Kumara, Project Director of MLBCRP & KMTC, Eng. Ms. Ranjani Perera, Project Consultants (Technical), and Mr. Subash Perera, Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist of MWSIP took part the program as invitees. Communication team headed by Communication Spiciest of MWSIP, Mr. Kalana Dampiya, and Training Coordinator of MWSIP, Ms. Sigiri Bandara organized and conducted the entire program successfully with the broadcasting support of radio crew of Lakhanda as an official media sponsor of the program.
