Significant progress has been achieved in the construction of Tunnel-4 (T-4) under the North Central Province Canal Project. This tunnel section, approximately 1,100 meters in length, is being constructed using the New Austrian Tunnelling Method (NATM), a conventional drill-and-blast technique.

Re-awakening sessions for government stakeholders on baseline data collection for CAD farmers engaged in commercial fruit crops were successfully completed.

A remarkable milestone was celebrated on 17th August 2025 at the North Central Province Canal Project (NCPCP).While most of the tunneling for this project is carried out using the advanced Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM), certain sections are constructed through the traditional drill-and-blast method.One such section, a 1.1 km tunnel from the northern side (Tunnel-4), successfully broke through and connected with the project’s main 28 km tunnel at the Northern Tunnel Shaft.
