The Kalugaga-Moraghakanda Transfer Canal, a significant irrigation project in Sri Lanka, is nearing completion. Expected to be handed over to the nation by the end of 2024, this canal connects the Kalugaga Reservoir and the Moragahakanda Reservoir. Its primary function is to transfer excess water from the Kalugaga Reservoir to the Moragahakanda Reservoir. The canal spans 9 km, with nearly 8 km constructed as a tunnel.
